Hu Kai Xi's Biography & Awards:

Hu Kai Xi, was born in 1954 in Jinan, Shangdong province. He loves painting very much since his childhood. He graduated from Shangdong Art Institute in 1979 and learned from the famous landscape painter Mr. Chen Weixin. After his graduation, he devoted himself to the research to Chinese traditional landscape painting. He started with the study to the landscape masters of Ming and Qing Dynasty, especially the landscape master of Qing Dynasty Mr.Shi Tao, he done deep research on Master Shi Tao’s works. Later he was engrossed in the research on the contemporary landscape master Mr. Zhang Da qian’s works. He is familiar with birds&flowers painting, figure painting and landscape painting. His landscape paintings have rigorous compositions, smooth ink brushed and great momentum.

His artworks were collected by the museums of mainland China, Taiwan, Hongkong and Singapore. His artworks were selected into national and provincial art works exhibitions and won awards for many times. His artworks and biography were edited into "Chinese Famous Artists Dictionary". Now he is a painter of Shandong Painting Institute and a member of Shandong Artists Association.

男，汉族。1954年出生于山东济南。自幼酷爱绘画艺术，1979年毕业于山东艺术学院，师从著名山水画家陈维信先生。毕业后致力于中国传统山水画研究，谦虚好学。先从明、清山水大家入手，尤崇清代山水画大师石涛先生，对石涛大师的作品作了较深的研究。后又醉心于研究当代山水画大师张大千先生的作品。花鸟、人物、山水都比较全面。所作出的山水构图严谨、笔墨苍润、气势磅礴。

作品被台湾、香港、新加坡和国内等地美术馆所收藏。作品多次入选全国及省级美术作品展览并获奖。作品及简历被列入《中国美术家名人辞典》，现为山东画院画师、山东美协会员。
