Zhang Gui Zhi's Biography & Awards:

Zhang Gui Zhi, pen name is Yi Zhou or Gui Zhi, born in Yanshan county of Hebei Province in 1947. And now he is the academician of Chinese Painting Academy, First Class painter, the vice president of Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Artists Association, a member of Chinese painter-calligrapher Association, Hebei Province Calligraphy Association and Painting Association, the National May 1st Labor Medalist and enjoys the Government Special Allowance of the State Council, excellent intellectual, model worker and professor of Hebei Province. And be awarded honorary title --“The World Famous People” and “The World Peace Medal” by the United Nations Talent Organization.

He has been learning woodwork and sculpture since he was a child, and was passionately fond of calligraphy and painting in his youth. He has travelled around the country to find famous teachers and visiting friends, and luckily, was instructed in person and guided carefully by panting masters such as Mr. Jin Hong Jun, Ouyang Zhongshi, Pu Zuo, Qi Gong, Meng Fan Sheng and Mi Chun Mao, etc. There is profond and deep artistic conception in his calligraphy and paintings.

He is good at drawing Gongbi animals and flowers & birds and writing thin gold style calligraphy, winning many prizes at different level calligraphy and painting competitions at home more than once. The “Five Bats Figure” and “The Longevity of Pine and Crane” win the 1st and 2nd prizes respectively on “The First Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Torch Gold Medal” and other competitions. And the artwork “Chinese Mighty Winds”, “List of hills are small when standing and glancing on the peak ” and “The Playing Cat Figure” were compiled into “Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Appreciation Dictionary”. Numerous artworks of his were collected by units and individuals at home and abroad and the long scroll masterpieces “Hundreds of Tigers” and “Hundreds of Cats” were highly appreciated by famous artists.


张桂枝

笔名：逸舟、贵芝。

汉族，1947年生，河北省盐山县人，现任中国画院院士、一级美术师，中国书画艺术家协会副主席，中国书画家协会常务理事，河北省书协、美协会员，全国“五一劳动奖章”获得者，享受国务院政府特殊津贴，河北省优秀知识分子和劳动模范、教授，并被联合国人才组织授予“世界知名人士”荣誉称号、荣获“世界和平勋章”。

自少年时期开始学习木工和雕刻，青年时酷爱书法、绘画，曾到全国各地寻名师、访名友，并先后幸得金鸿钧、欧阳中石、溥佐、启功、孟繁盛、米春茂等大师的亲授和精心指导，绘画和书法有较深的底蕴。

个人比较擅长动物、花鸟工笔画，书法以瘦金体见长，多次参加国内各级书画赛并获奖，其中《五福图》、《松龄鹤寿》等，获首届中国书画火炬金奖和其他大赛一、二等奖；

作品《华夏雄风》、《一览众山小》、《猫戏图》被收入《中华书画鉴赏辞典》。众多作品被国内外单位和个人收藏，长卷巨作《百虎图》、《百猫图》更是受到名家高度赞赏。
