Xi Zhi Qiang's Biography & Awards:

Xi Zhi Qiang, 席志强,男,1956年生于湖南衡阳县,现为湖南省衡阳师范学院美术系副教授,中国书法家协会会员，昔年曾从我国著名书法家、古文字学家康殷先生学习书法篆刻艺术达二十年之久。
自幼爱好书法，善长于魏碑楷书，行书，隶书与大小篆，曾获全国书法大奖二十余次，为各地博物馆，碑林，名胜，摩崖题写近三十处。二十世纪八十年代，获全国文汇书法竞赛，二等奖。全国首届神龙书法大赛奖，银牌奖，篆刻入展。西冷印社首届全国篆刻作品评展。至九十年代初。作品入展。现代国际临书大展。两次参加中日文化交流展。三次展美国亚洲艺术学院作品联展，作品曾在中国美术馆展出多次，2005年，获文化部中华当代艺术家作品展三等奖。
其著作有：《三笔字教程》，1990年湖南师范大学出版社出版。
《中国书法文化大观》，合著国家八五重点图书1995年北京大学出版。
《秦汉古隶》，2003年香港天马图书公司出版。
《大学书法》，2003年湖南教育出版社出版。
《席志强书法》。2007年中华诗词出版社出版。
还发表书法理文章二十余篇。
