Wei Zong Sheng's Biography & Awards:

Wei Zong Sheng, was born in Pingdingshan, Henan. He begun learning painting in 1979 and after that he had been engaged in fine art, sculpture, root caving, relief sculpture and printmaking.

In 2008, he established his personal studio and became a professional painter with the help and concern of leaders at all levels.

2009 is the year of harvest. He achieved many good results in all kinds of calligraphy and painting competition. His artworks were selected into National Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition in Honor of 60th Anniversary of the Founding of the PRC. The "The Lingering Charming of Lotus" won the excellent prize on the 1st "The Yellow River Soul"Calligraphy and Painting Competition. And he was appointed to The Yellow River Calligraphy and Painting Institute as an academician.


魏宗生，河南平顶山人，79年就开始画画，一直从事美术，雕塑、根雕、浮雕、版画工作。

2008年在领导关心下，专门建立个人画室，成为专业画家。

2009年是收获的一年，先后在各类书画比赛中取得较好的成绩，作品入选建国六十周年全国书画展；作品“荷之韵”获得首届“黄河魂”书画大赛优秀奖；被黄河书画院聘为院士。
