Ma Dai Zong's Biography & Awards:

Ma Dai Zong, 马岱宗，号勤耕斋主、越城居士，1931年6月生，广西资源县人。

曾任中学校长、桂林市教育局调研员等职。现任中国书法家协会会员，中国教育学会书法教育专业委员会理事，中国平原大学客座教授，中国书画学会副主席，中国书画研究院艺术委员会委员，广西书协理事、学术理论部副主任，广西书法教育专业委员会理事长，桂林市书协顾问，桂林市书法教育研究会会长，中原书画研究会名誉院长，台湾中国文化统一促进会艺委会委员，中华诗词学会会员。

书法作品入选全国第四届楹联展，“翰墨颂辉煌”展，中国新书法大展，最佳中国魅力城市书法联展，国际佛教书画展，中国历史文化名城风采书法摄影展，95汉城国际大展，日本国熊本县书画展，东京首届国际艺术博览会。
曾获书法报首届黄鹤奖铜奖，中华全国当代书法精品展二等奖，第二届王子杯海峡两岸书画大展金奖，中华魂楹联书画艺术品大展特佳奖。

曾在中国美术馆、桂林、深圳、台湾等地举办书法展，出版个人专集《行书佳联选》、《马岱宗书法艺术》。其艺术事迹及作品曾刊载于《人民日报》、《艺术报》、台湾《中华日报》等10余家刊物60余次。艺术传略收入《中国当代书画家大辞典》等多部辞书。

Ma Dai Zong, pseudonym: Qin Geng Zhai Zhu or Yue Cheng Ju Shi, was born in June 1931, come from Ziyuan county in Guangxi.

He used to be a principal of middle school and researcher at Guilin Education Bureau. Currently, he is a member of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, the Chinese Education Society Calligraphy Education Professional Committee, visiting professor at China Plain University, deputy chairman of the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Society, member of the Art Committee of the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Research Institute, director of the Guangxi Calligraphy Association, deputy director of the Academic Theory Department, chairman of Guangxi Calligraphy Education Professional Committee, consultant of Guilin Calligraphy Association, chairman of Guilin Calligraphy Education Research Association, honorary dean of Zhongyuan Calligraphy and Painting Research Association, art committee of Taiwan Chinese Cultural Unification Promotion Association, and the member of Chinese Poetry Society.

His calligraphy works were selected in the 4th National Couplet Exhibition of China, "Han Mo Song Brilliance" Exhibition, China's New Calligraphy Exhibition, the Best Chinese Charm City Calligraphy Exhibition, International Buddhist Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition, Chinese History and Culture City Calligraphy Photography Exhibition, 95 Seoul International Exhibition , Japan's Kumamoto Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition, Tokyo's first International Art Expo.

He won the bronze award of the first Yellow Crane Award of the Calligraphy Newspaper, the second prize of the All-China Contemporary Calligraphy Exhibition, the gold award of the second Prince Cup Cross-strait Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition, and the special award of the Chinese Soul Couplet Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition.

He organized calligraphy exhibitions in the National Art Museum of China at Guilin, Shenzhen, Taiwan etc, and published personal collections "Better Selection of Xingshu", "Ma Daizong's Calligraphy Art". His artistic deeds and works have been published in more than 10 publications such as "People's Daily", "Art News", and Taiwan's "China Daily" more than 60 times. His art biography was included in several dictionaries such as "The Dictionary of Contemporary Chinese Painters and Calligraphers".
