Liu Zhi Jun Chinese Figures Painting Artists

Liu Zhi Jun's Biography & Awards:

Liu Zhi Jun, was born in 1957. Learnt figure painting from famous artist Professor Yang Deshu in the 1970s, Liu went to Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts for further study in 1985. After graduation, he spent many years studying classical gongbi figure paintings as well as classical murals, and created a mural-style to modern gongbi figure painting. This new style wins fame for him. Liu was given awards of various national art exhibitions, and part of his works was collected by people and organizations at home and aboard, whilst his outstanding achievements were embodied in books like “Who’s Who in Literature and Art of Chinese Worldwide”.

Titles: Part of Tianjin Artists Association and Contemporary Gongbi Painting Association; one of visiting professors of Nankai University and Tianjin University of Technology; art director of Tianjin Shutianyiyuan Gallery; private painter of Zhigong Gallery; associate editor of the magazine “High-end Fine Arts”.


刘志君，1957年出生，毕业于天津美术学院。天津市美术家协会会员，天津书天艺苑美术馆艺术总监，南开大学东方艺术系客座教授，天津理工大学艺术学院客座教授，中国致公画院专职画家，《高端艺术》杂志副主编，当代工笔画学会会员。

师承天津著名画家杨德树教授，对中国古典工笔人物画及古典壁画进行了多年的研究，并创作出具有自己特点的中国人物画。作品多次参加全国美术大展并获奖，并被海内外多家机构和人士收藏。
