Deng Xi Lu's Biography & Awards:
Deng Xi Lu, 邓锡禄，汉族，广西桂林人，1938年9月生于阳朔。少年时期酷爱书法篆刻艺术。曾任民进桂林市委会主委、桂林市政协副主席、桂林市书协主席,为桂林市知名政要和书画艺术家。现为中国书法家协会会员、中华诗词学会会员、全国市长书画院院士、广西书法家协会理事、桂林市书法家协会名誉主席、香港国际画院院士、书法教授，新加坡新神州艺术院特聘高级书画师、高级名誉院士、高级荣誉顾问。
作品多次在国内外展出，收入《当代中国书法艺术大成》、《中日友好书画联展作品集》、《95国际书艺展》、《世界当代书画作品选》、《两岸美术观摩作品集》、《当代书法篆刻艺术大观》、《中国书法选集》、《中国书法家选集》、《中国印谱》等书，著有《和中小学生谈篆刻》《实用篆刻起步》《中国篆刻百家----邓锡禄卷》等书。
Deng Xi Lu, Han nationality, was born in Yangshuo, Guilin, Guangxi in September 1938. He ardently love calligraphy and seal cutting art when he was young.
He used to be the chairman of the Guilin Municipal Committee of the Democratic Progressive Party, deputy chairman of the Guilin Municipal People's Political Consultative Conference, chairman of the Guilin Municipal Calligraphy Association. Currently, he is a member of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, the Chinese Poetry Society, academician of the National Mayor Calligraphy and Painting Academy, director of the Guangxi Calligraphers Association, honorary chairman of the Guilin Calligraphers Association, academician & calligraphy professor of the Hong Kong International Painting Academy, senior calligrapher / honorary academician / honorary consultant of the Singapore New China Art Academy.
His works exhibited all over the world for many times, included in "Contemporary Chinese Calligraphy Art", "Sino-Japanese Friendship Calligraphy and Painting Joint Exhibition Collection", "95 International Calligraphy Exhibition", "World Contemporary Calligraphy and Painting Works Selection", "Cross-Strait Art Observation Works Collection" ," Contemporary Calligraphy and Seal Cutting Art "," Anthology of Chinese Calligraphy "," Anthology of Chinese Calligraphers "," Chinese Seals "and other books. He is the author of "Talking to Seal Cutting with Primary and Middle School Students "," Practical Start of Seal Cutting "," 100 Chinese Seal Cutting --- Deng Xi Lu Volume" etc.

邓锡禄先生荣获世界艺术名人评审委员会授予“书画名人”称号；
书法篆刻作品曾多次参加国内外书画展览及在报刊发表。作品在1980年澳大利亚举办的首届国际书法比赛中获二等奖；
作品获日本主办“第三十一回国际书道联盟展览”优秀奖和中国日本书画联合展大阪市长奖；
行草《坐花醉月》条幅参加“中国桂林•日本小松市书画联展”并被收入《中国书画联展作品集》、《中日友好城市印稿》 ，入选在日本京都举办的“日本京都、中国广西书画展”；
篆刻作品《黄河之流通江户》和《漓江胜景》入选在日本举办的“熊本市•桂林市书画同展”。
Awards:
Mr. Deng Xi Lu was awarded the title of "Celebrity of Painting and Calligraphy" by the World Art Celebrity Appraisal Committee;
His calligraphy and seal cutting works participated in many domestic and foreign painting and calligraphy exhibitions and published in newspapers and periodicals. He won the second prize in the first international calligraphy competition held in Australia in 1980;
Excellent Award of the "31st International Calligraphy Union Exhibition" and the Osaka Mayor Award of China Japan Calligraphy and Painting Joint Exhibition;
Running Script & Cursive Script banner “Zuo Hua Zui Yue” participated in the "Guilin China • Komatsu City Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition in Japan", and included in the "Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition Works Collection", "Sino-Japanese Friendship City Print", and selected in "Kyoto, China Guangxi Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition ";
The seal-cutting works "The Edo of the Yellow River" and "Lijiang River Scenery" were selected in the "Kumamoto-Guilin Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition" held in Japan.
